The Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Union (COMECE), the Catholic Private University Linz and Future for Religious Heritage (FRH) are proud to invite you to a NEB Lab pitching session that will take place online on 11 September 2025 from 11:00 to 12:00 CET. In this pitching session, the three organisations will present a project proposal for the NEB Lab, a co-creation space where the New European Bauhaus community can work together on concrete and tangible projects for making our built environment more beautiful, sustainable, and inclusive for all.
The event will include a presentation of the project’s aims, activities, and ways to get involved or contribute to it. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
If approved, the proposed project will facilitate a participatory process focused on the renovation, transformation, and renewal of church buildings and religious heritage in Europe while preserving cultural heritage, respecting religious memories, and meeting real estate requirements. This project and its activities will open to all NEB Community members to participate. If you are interested in joining us but are not a member of the community yet, you can find more information on how to become a member of friend here.
COMECE, FRH and the Catholic Private University Linz have been collaborating for two years on this proposal and look forward to its approval so they can begin working with a network of professionals to advance tangible solutions to make religious heritage a central part of our built environment.
