The European project SKIVRE (Skills Development for the Valorisation of European Religious Heritage) was launched in 2018 to provide capacity-building to European monasteries and monastery shops to support the manufacturing, marketing and sales of high-quality monastic products, which are a source of income to preserve religious heritage. Tourism industry and economic development.

The project concluded in 2021. The resoruces of the project, included training modules, videos and a guide to marketing monastic products are available on our website.

What is the project about?

-Competence expansion in European monasteries for the development, manufacture and marketing of high-quality products

-Establishment of Europe-wide sales strategies for monastic products

-Revival of the historical craftsmanship of the monasteries

Who will benefit from the project?

-The project aims at providing capacity-building to the workforce (staff, monks and nuns) of European monasteries and monastery shops in order to support the development and sales of high-quality monastic products, which are used to gain income for the preservation of religious heritage.
