MISSION
Fondation Avenir du Patrimoine à Paris was created in 2014, to preserve the historic churches of Paris and their art pieces in order to transfer this heritage to future generations.
The Foundation allows for the acceleration of the restoration of historic churches and their art pieces, thanks to the generosity of donors.
In collaboration with the city of Paris, the foundation collects private funds that complement the public funding allocated by the city of Paris. Foundation Avenir du Patrimoine à Paris is under the auspices of the Fondation Notre-Dame, established as a public interest.
The foundation Notre-Dame promotes and develops, mutual aids, educations programs and Christian culture. It also supports projects in the field of art, media, and communication. The foundation has a network of 150 associations, that helps them by giving them support, and financing their social projects.
ACTIVITIES
SAFEGUARDING
The Foundation acts for the safeguarding, restoration and promotion of historic Parisian churches, classified or registered as historic monuments, as well as the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral. Thanks to the generosity of its donors, the Foundation finances restoration projects, either in abundance or in full. The Foundation also coordinates the actors of the restoration projects that it supports, until the project is completed, alongside the public authorities.
EDUCATION
The Foundation educates heritage stakeholders and the general public about the immense artistic and historical value of Parisian churches as well as the urgency and the immense needs. It does this as part of its restoration projects. During the restoration, the foundation takes care to make sure that the stakeholders of the project and the public are well informed of the significance and importance of the church, in addition to the logistics of the project.
