We are thrilled to announce the creation of the Young Professionals and Researchers Working Group, which aims to engage and empower emerging talents in the fields of research, management, conservation and other related fields whose professional activity focuses on the understanding, promotion and safeguarding of religious heritage.
The idea of setting up this working group came from a member of our Scientific Advisory Committee, Samidha Pusalkar, in an effort to give a voice to the younger generation and highlight their contributions to this field.
We are now putting our efforts to make it happen! The first step is to find suitable members for the working group. So if this sounds interesting to you, please, scroll down to find out all the details.
What activities will the working group do?
The activities of the Young Professionals and Researchers Working Group will include:
- Research: conduct research on various aspects of religious heritage in Europe, such as best practices, case studies, challenges, new perspectives and emerging trends. This research will contribute to FRH’s knowledge base and help inform policy decisions. The group will also contribute to FRH yearly conferences by presenting their finding with a ‘youth perspective’.
- Events and workshops: organise webinars, meetings and workshops to foster knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and networking among young professionals and researchers in the field of religious heritage preservation, especially via a youth panel discussion at the yearly conference and at FRH Talks.
- Campaigns and advocacy: develop and execute advocacy campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of protecting religious heritage and the ongoing debates on the topic. Members of the working group will also be able to represent FRH at various events, if necessary.
- Contribution to the FRH newsletter: actively contribute articles, insights, and updates to FRH’s newsletter section ‘Young voices in heritage’, enriching our communication and outreach efforts.
