The Arts and Cultural Management Conference, which will take place from 7 to 9 November 2024 in Vienna, is an event designed to empower professionals, academics, artists, and students in the field of arts and cultural management.
The 7th edition is titled “Art and Culture between Transgression and Collaboration“, and will focus on transgression and collaboration as engines of artistic and cultural creation that impact social and political development. Papers will address questions such as the ethical implications of transgression in the arts, the boundaries between individuality and shared expression, the transformative impact of transgression and collaboration on society as a whole and its role in cultural diplomacy.
The event is organised in collaboration with and supported by ENCATC, ENCC, ESACH, Europeana et al.
Present your work by 15 September
The arts have always embodied the dynamic interplay between transgression and collaboration. Transgression, the act of pushing boundaries, challenging norms, and disrupting established conventions, is at the heart of artistic innovation and creativity. It is through transgression that artists push the limits of their craft, challenge societal norms, and spark new modes of thought and experience. Collaboration, on the other hand, is the act of working together, pooling ideas and expertise, to create something greater than the sum of its parts. It is through collaboration that human societies join forces, agree, regulate, and build the political mechanisms that allow advancement and prosperity.
Scholars, artists, students, and creative practitioners are invited to come together and explore the ways in which transgression and collaboration shape artistic and cultural expression across various disciplines, including but not limited to the visual and performing arts, literature, music, and digital media.
