Brussels: Architectural Heritage Restoration & SMEs in Europe

Cristina Gutierrez-Cortines, full member of FRH, was the moderator of a meeting on “Architectural Heritage Restoration & SMEs in Europe”. The panel was organized by the European Parliament and took place on 14 October in Brussels.

The meeting was hosted by Silvia Costa, member of the European Parliament, president of the Committee on Culture and Education and by Mircea Diaconu, who is member of the European Parliament, rapporteur of the report “Towards an integrated approach to cultural heritage for Europe” and vice president of the Committee on Culture and Education”.

About Cristina Gutierrez-Cortines

Cristina Gutierrez-Cortines Corral was born in Santander (Spain) in 1939.

She has been a professor of Art History at the University of Murcia. From 1999 to 2014 she was a Member of the European Parliament from 1999 to 2014. She led several projects related to various aspects of Cultural Heritage.

She also led a course on “The Historical and Natural Heritage. Cultural and economic resource value “, organized in collaboration with Botín Foundation.
