UK – Seminar: “Places of Worship as Sustainable Buildings”

UK – Seminar: “Places of Worship as Sustainable Buildings”

28th November 2013 in Cambridge

This is a meeting of the Faiths and Beliefs Network of the East of England hosted by Anglia Ruskin University, East Road Campus, Cambridge. It starts at 6pm for 6.30pm.

Dr Shahid Hanif will talk about the plans for the new Cambridge Mosque and how sustainability will be incorporated into a new-build place of worship, followed by questions and discussion.

Mr Brian Cuthbertson, Head of Environment and Sustainability, Diocese of London, will talk about how to improve the sustainability of existing places of worship, particularly mediaeval and Victorian churches, based on the substantial advice on retro-fit he has established at Generic Building Solutions. I attach a flyer which gives more information.
