Open churches in Norway this summer!

Church buildings rise interest among various target groups. Some seek God, while others have a more historical or artistic interest in visiting the church building. Church buildings have a unique social position in Norway as our most important cultural monuments. The history that has taken place in these buildings through nearly 1000 years, carries religious life in our country, but also highlights our building, craft and art history. These are often the local communities most important and prestigious buildings. In other countries there are castles and palaces preserved from the very early days, but in Norway this responsibility lies within the church buildings.
