MISSION
Norman Abbeys-Historical Route is an association which groups together 35 abbeys in Normandy as well as 14 related sites in the surrounding area. Its purpose is the cultural enhancement and development of tourism at these major tourist sites in Normandy. The historic route of Norman Abbeys was created in 2002. The actions of the association focus on two main areas: enhancement of their network and promotion of Norman Abbeys.
ACTIVITIES
DISCOVER GUIDE TO NORMAN ABBEYS BROCHURE
Each year, the Norman Abbeys association publishes the brochure “Discover Guide to Norman Abbeys” for the general public with 33,000 copies, in French/English, distributed throughout Normandy, notably through tourist offices and other tourism partners. It can also be consulted on their website.
INTERACTIVE MAP AND UPDATED INFORMATION
The website of the Norman Abbeys association provides an interactive map on which can be found numerous abbeys from all over Normandy. Information for each of the abbeys is well documented. Furthermore, information about the organisation and each of its abbeys can be found in its monthly newsletter.
