FRANCE – Contemporary art meets religious heritage

Between July 4th and September 21st, L’art dans les Chapelles organizes a number of exhibitions of contemporary art in historic places of worship thoughout Bretagne, France. The 23rd edition includes some twenty artists, who have been commissioned to create a work of art specifically adapted for the location.

Bretagne boasts some 1000 religious heritage buildings, most of which are still in use for services -even if only once a year. l’Art dans les Chapelles ‘helps inhabitants to rediscover these locations, and to enjoy their riches’.
