Welcome to the October issue of the newsletter!

This month's feature article celebrates the 30th anniversary of Het Orgel in Vlaanderen, an FRH member since 2015 that is dedicated to preserving the culture of the Organ for future generations.

We will be hosting a series of web activities on October 22nd, which will include the webinar The Challenges and Opportunities of COVID-19 For Cultural Heritage, which will be important for understanding how the sector has overcome the difficulties that were brought on by the COVID crisis, and also the launch of four Preconference Working Groups, which will explore topics related to the conference sub-themes and present their output at our Biennial Conference in May 2021.

The Network Religious Heritage, a network of universities and heritage organisations that aims at promoting religious heritage's societal value, has launched a new series of workshops. FRH participated in the launch of this network on 17 September in Groningen, the Netherlands.

For FRH members, our Annual General Meeting will take place on October 22nd at 13:00 CET, if you have not done so already, please register your attendance with info@frh-europe.org

In EU news, the deadline has been extended to October 29th for the Erasmus + Key Action 2 Strategic Partnerships, which focuses on "innovative practices in a digital era in the fields of both youth and adult education.

Also, Italy has recently become the 20th country to ratify the Faro convention, which emphasises the importance of cultural heritage as it related to human rights and democracy.

Finally, this month's Religiana list takes a look at the oldest pipe organs of Europe.

As always, we are happy to feature members in our newsletter, so feel free to submit articles, event notifications, or anything else you would like to share with the network.
