Like religious heritage as much as we do? Whether you have a passion for photography or simply enjoy taking beautiful pictures or videos, this is your chance to share it with an international community of heritage lovers and win a prize for it. Europe is full of unknown religious architectural wonders. Help us to highlight the value, beauty and diversity of European religious heritage!

The FRH photo competition 2022 runs from 23 May to 25 September. Winners will be given Europe-wide visibility and an invitation to the FRH Biennial Conference 2023.

The competition is open to everyone in Europe. There is no need to be an expert photographer or Instagrammer, just somebody who shares our passion for religious heritage and who puts creativity and camera skills into practice.

Your picture or video must show a European religious site or building. Your photo or video must fit in one of these categories
Religious buildings: photos and videos with a building or group of buildings as the main element.

Artefacts: photos and videos with religious heritage objects as the main element.

People and Events: photos and videos of celebrations, special dates or other situations where people or the festivity are the protagonists.

The finalists and winners will be chosen by a jury composed of FRH Board Members and expert photographers/videographers. Their decision will be announced in the second week of October.

The overall winner of the competition will be invited to participate in the 2023 Biennial Conference in Lund, Sweden, all costs covered.
