The Dutch Stichting Oude Groninger Kerken has won this year’s Willem Wolffprijs, awarded for projects highlighting the history of building techniques. The winning project, ‘BOUWWERK’, is an on-site educational programme teaching primary school children about the history of church architecture and the conservation of monumental buildings. The prize money, € 2.000,-, will go towards the development of an online learning module in connection with the winning project. The jury hopes that this online module will help Oude Groninger Kerken make the program available elsewhere in the country, in cooperation with other heritage organisations.
