THE NETHERLANDS / BELGIUM – International website mapping ‘small’ religious heritage in five provinces

A new website has been launched mapping ‘small religious heritage’ (chapels, crosses, Lourdes-caves, statues and exceptional grave monuments) across five provinces of the Netherlands (Limburg and Noord-Brabant) and Belgium (Vlaams-Brabant, Antwerp and West-Vlaanderen). The launch completes the project ‘Social Innovation Conservation Small Religious Heritage’, partly funded by the EU, for which a large number of heritage sites was catalogued and  restored. In addition, new walking and cycling trails have been set out. Click here to visit the website, and here to read the full article in Dutch.
