SWEDEN – ”It is the responsibility of the Church”

See a video clip with an interview of Henrik Lindblad, FRH Networking Group member, and Cultural Heritage Analyst at the Church of Sweden, and Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth, Minister for Culture in Sweden, who tips the responsibility of the buildings quite heavily over to the Church.

“The church owns its buildings, but also stands for the largest cohesive cultural heritage and is therefore a matter for the whole of Sweden. Even for those who are not members of the church. This is why the state supports the church each year with 460 million Swedish krowns towards maintenance of the churches. But this is a mere 25% of the cost.” [interpretation]
