Italy: Pistoia’s strong bid for churches

The San Salvatore Church in Pistoia (979 a. D.), close to Piazza del Duomo, will be soon restored by a private foundation, Cassa di Risparmio di Pistoia e Pescia.

After decades of decay, the building will be properly maintained and managed. Once restored, the church will host cultural activities open to the citizens as well as for artists and performers.
