FRH Photo Competition 2016 – Rules

This FRH Photo Contest contest involves the submission of photos that showcase the photographers personal experience at a Religious Heritage site.

Entry Application Period:

The 2016 FRH Photo Contest (the “Contest”) ends October 10, 2016.

Who may enter

Contest is open only to FRH Members who have reached the age of majority.

How to enter

Entry is free. Participants can submit a maximum of 3 photos. To enter, complete the entry form with the required information, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, photo caption and the full name of the person/people appearing on the photo, if applicable.

All the photos will be published in the FRH Flickr gallery.

Categories

The categories for entries are:

  1. Religious buildings
  2. Artefacts
  3. People and Events

Format

Photographs must be in digital format. Only online entries will be eligible.

Please upload your photos as .jpg files in the highest image quality available.

Requirements

By entering the Contest, entrant acknowledges that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.

No photos of children are admitted.

The photograph must not contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content.

Judging

Three winners will be selected by the FRH Communication Committee (Lilian Grootswagers, Jennie Hawks, Riccardo Palmerini, Eddie Tulasiewicz)

Prizes

The prize ceremony will take place on 11th November 2016 in Vicenza during the FRH Biennial Conference. The three winners are expected to attend.

The First Place Winner in each Category will receive a prize and his/her winning photograph will be published in the FRH website.

Copyright

By participating in the contest, the photographer holds the copyright to the photos submitted, but FRH retains the unlimited right to use the submitted photos for public information purposes in FRH’s fields of competence. FRH will only use photos for non-commercial purposes which include education and advocacy materials, website, brochures, reports, flyers, at no cost. The photographers will be credited.

Important dates:

  • Submission of photos: July 2, 2016 – October 10, 2016
  • Jury voting: 13-17 October 2016
  • Announcement of the winners and awards ceremony: Vicenza 11 November 2016
