Call for Existing Data and Studies
on the Impacts of Cultural Heritage

Deadline: 30 June 2014

The project Cultural Heritage Counts for Europe is a two-year project funded by the EU Culture Programme (2007-2013) that aims to raise greater awareness on the multiple benefits of cultural heritage and present policy recommendations for tapping into heritage’s full potential.

This research considers the impact of the historic environment, specifically immovable or built heritage and its social, cultural, environmental and/or economic impact. We ask for:
Impact assessments of cultural heritage on European, national, regional or local level;
Impact assessments published as a report, in books, or as an article in international peer reviewed journals, etc.

Help raise greater awareness on the multiple benefits of cultural heritage! This data will enable project partners to present an overview of social, cultural, economic and environmental impacts of immovable cultural heritage to develop policy recommendations, to define shortcomings in existing research in Europe and to recommend a future research agenda on the topic for Europe.
